The Town of Watertown board is reviewing options for addressing nearly $17 million in debt, including debt carrying a 4.75% interest rate. A presentation identified more than $7 million tied to completed projects and more than $9 million connected to projects still in progress.
No decision was made. The information is expected to be considered during budget discussions scheduled for September 17 and September 24. Town Supervisor Jim Wright said a town tax remains a possibility, but it is too early to know whether one will be needed.
